The thing that I wish to achieve that will literally save the country and the generations that come after me, like hundreds of years, is a “co-presidency.” This is the thing that will literally fix everything. And it’s not that crazy of a thing either , you’re just reflecting what is in the nation into the executive. I think in the next 10, 30, 50 years, this will be the thing that saves us. This is the most important thing to think about in the country.
I have noticed we have all these things, these big commercialism things, flashy things, 1 million dollar paintings, $10,000 NFTs. Our consumerism is above our social welfare. The people above us do not care about a UBI or care about corporations being more powerful than the government/the people. “I don’t know, who’s gonna win the football shiny helmet game?” Horrible things happen every single day: there are kids being stabbed, 16-year-olds getting shot, going to CHAZ and bleeding out in the back seat of a car wondering “why the hell did I have to come here” as they fade, and some guy is buying a Picasso. No matter how much evil, hardship, and tragedy we all see, there still isn’t enough to bring it all together. For this, I do not know why.
I say to you all again, the co-president is the thing, the golden egg... it will fix everything, everything. Every disagreement you can think of. I can see them both with their hands touching the Bible: “our presidents.” Some funny coincidence I noticed is even if they end up being in gridlock, the people will talk about it, saying, “why don’t they just…” and you start getting people involved and deliberating without them even knowing. It’s perfect. Everywhere, disgruntled citizens will be coming up with resolutions and the middle.
On the citizen level, there may be some “agree to disagree” happening, but in the executive, there will be no agree to disagree. It forces deliberation and compromise, and it’s the thing we need to make our country actually work. I am telling you, this is the answer.
