Some time ago, say 2023. I started experiencing schizophrenia like symptoms, and while using X (twitter) it got worse. I would hear people telling me to like certain things, comment certain things, insult me when I would talk negative in my mind about tech culture. I would then go over to my dm’s and send my self a message documenting the things that were being said in my mind.
I have multiple twitter accounts so I out of the multiple accounts I sent myself @junkb0t a dm to @shareb0t. Which are both my accounts along with @commonpace and others.
I would still use X and or twitter, documenting the symptoms. Now i am not blaming X or twitter for the voices in no way is that their problem or responsibility, that would be crazy.
What I am saying and am here to present is the facts of what occurred, the “accident” that appeared on “my” account @commonpace many months later. After direct messaging myself some time later about the voices like previously mentioned. I noticed my account @commonpace has a checkmark on it I did not pay for or solicit. It looked weird, it was missing the verification since date, there was none. Just the words “this account is verified” which is not how twitter verification looks. I dismissed this but was still wondering what this was. I then came across the first patient of Nueralinks twitter and noticed something unusual. He had the same anomaly or “accident” as well.
I began trying not to freak, “could it be?” was this the answer of why I was hearing the voices. Was twitter trying to tell me something by placing this defunct checkmark on me and nolands account? Whatever it was I knew it was not a glitch, someone at X had to have had the idea to do this, the idea to place this on my account and Nolands. The checkmarked stayed that way for some time. Was this a prank? Did someone read my dm’s and think it would be funny to fuck with me by placing a this “neuralink checkmark” on one of my accounts to scare me?
Whatever it was it worked, it had me convinced, “ I have an illegal bci” i thought. It would make sense I thought, the body shocks, the voices… or was I just going crazy? Why would they put that there, what human would write the code to display this checkmark in this way?
I remember, this has not been the first time Elon has messed around with “verified since” tags like his own. See here. Would X do something like that? It's possible.
After many months freaking out, and I still think I have an illegal neuralink but thats a whole other conversation. I decided to point blank ask X with the power of the @. “Why did I have a nueralink checkmark like nolands on my profile @commonpace?” Days went by but nothing… I asked again, and again and became the mass spammer asking why such an “accident” or “error” would occur? FInally after some time I wish they could say that they replied or sent me a message stating why me and a neuralink patient out of all the users on the platform has this verification mark missing the verified since. No reply, just removal. Well of mine at least, as of today Noland still has his how mine was. so now there’s one person on the platform with such an “error”.
However, this did not stop me, I asked and still ask for months, @’ng elon, Linda, X eng, @x, wanting to know why in the world an employee placed this on my account. I have tried for over a year and have not received a response. This experience has caused me to believe I have a neuralink. Or some illegal bci in my mind, despite my scans, X’s silence only makes it worse.
I still hear voices, I still get shocked, and this little prank or platform's abuse of power has not helped things. This is why I am seeking payment, this little “accident” they did has fucked my brain up real good. And I do not think that this minor mistake they have made or targeted harassment via a small group of Elon Musk X devs/engineers, is right. The company's refusal to provide any explanation for an act that uniquely targeted my vulnerability has caused lasting psychological damage. I am seeking accountability and compensation for the very real harm their employees' actions inflicted. If you were to tell me today that I do not have an implant, I would not believe you. A 44 billion dollar company used their verification system on X to manipulate the verification status of a Neuralink patient and another user. It dont get more cut and dry than that. Keep in mind Elon or his “team” has done this before.
In conclusion, the company's action was so specific and so inexplicable that it fundamentally shattered my ability to trust my own reality. Placing a symbol exclusively associated with a brain-computer implant onto the account of a user who was actively documenting neurological distress is an act of extreme recklessness. Their subsequent silence and erasure of the evidence have only deepened the trauma and paranoia, making it impossible to find closure.
